About Viscofan
Viscofan CZ is a major food industry company based in České Budějovice, Czech Republic, employing more than 650 people. As part of the global Viscofan Group, which operates in over 100 countries, the Czech plant is a key manufacturing and distribution hub for the entire group.
Starting Point
Viscofan has been systematically addressing energy consumption for more than 20 years. In 2003, the company was able to track and allocate only 27% of its energy consumption. By 2024, this number had grown to 85%.
This meant Viscofan was not starting from scratch. Instead, the challenge was to take the next step – to refine measurement, gain more detailed data, and turn data into actionable insights that reveal where savings can be found and how they can be managed.
