The OP TAK – Energy Savings II grant program supports investments aimed at reducing the energy intensity of business buildings. Companies can apply not only for subsidies on insulation or photovoltaic systems but also for smart energy management solutions such as the FLOWBOX EMOS system.
Who Can Apply?
The grant is open to businesses of all sizes. Its goal is to lower the energy consumption of company buildings and operations through modernization and energy-efficient measures.
Important: The grant does not apply to new buildings – it is intended exclusively for renovations and modernization of existing facilities.
Eligible Activities Include:
Alongside traditional measures such as insulation, window replacement, or heating system upgrades, the program also covers:
- Implementation of smart energy management systems (e.g., FLOWBOX)
- Optimization of energy use and consumption monitoring
- Installation of building digitalization systems (preparation for smart solutions and measurement)
- Energy consumption control within business operations
This means the grant can also cover the purchase and implementation of the FLOWBOX EMOS system, including required hardware components.
OP TAK – Energy Savings II: Key Information

- Small, medium, and large enterprises
- Projects must be implemented in the Czech Republic, outside of Prague
Funding Amounts
- Small enterprises: 50–80% support
- Medium enterprises: 40–70% support
- Large enterprises: 30–60% support
Exact funding depends on the region, type of measure, and resulting energy savings.
- Minimum eligible expenditure: CZK 625,000
- Maximum eligible expenditure: CZK 2 billion
Deadlines
- Applications open: May 24, 2024 – October 31, 2025
- Project completion deadline: October 31, 2026
Overview of Supported Activities
A) Measures to Reduce Energy Consumption in Company Buildings
- Building insulation
- Replacement or renovation of windows and doors, including shading systems
- Improving the efficiency of building technical systems (heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting)
- Implementation of energy management tools such as FLOWBOX
B) Complementary Measures in Buildings
- Renewable energy sources: photovoltaics, heat pumps, biomass, biogas, solar systems
- Energy storage (e.g., battery systems for PV installations)
- Connection to district heating/cooling (up to 500 m pipeline)
- EV charging stations near company buildings
- Building digitalization – structured cabling, smart-ready installations
- Green roofs and rainwater utilization systems
C) Measures Outside Company Buildings (Energy Operations)
- RES and CHP for company operations (biomass, PV, heat pumps, etc.)
- Energy storage from RES in operations
- Modernization of energy distribution networks (electricity, heat, cold, compressed air)
- Use of waste energy for own needs
- Energy-saving technologies with zero direct CO₂ emissions
- Modernization of traction power systems
- Implementation of energy management systems in operations (e.g., FLOWBOX)
FLOWBOX EMOS as an Eligible Expense
- In Section A – as a building energy management tool
- In Section C – as an energy consumption control system for company operations
Unlike standard monitoring systems, FLOWBOX not only measures but also actively controls energy consumption using smart algorithms. It optimizes building operation according to real needs, current loads, energy prices, and other parameters – ensuring long-term measurable savings.
However, under the OP TAK rules, FLOWBOX cannot be funded as a stand-alone project. It must be part of a broader energy-saving initiative (e.g., insulation, photovoltaics, heating modernization).
