Thousands of companies worldwide rely on Gartner reports when navigating technology, innovation, and digital transformation. FLOWBOX has been featured in these reports as a benchmark provider, and in this article, we’ll uncover what that means, why Gartner reports matter so much, and how FLOWBOX earned its place among them.
What Analyst Reports Are and Why They Matter
Imagine standing at a crossroads, deciding which technologies to invest in -with endless options before you. Every vendor claims to offer “the best solution,” but how do you know what truly adds value?
That’s where independent analyst firms such as Gartner, Forrester, or IDC come in. Their reports have served as trusted guides for decades, helping executives, investors, and technology leaders distinguish short-term fads from long-term shifts. They make strategic decisions easier, spotlight innovation with lasting impact, and reveal where it’s worth investing time, money, and energy.
Being included in such a report is not a given - it’s a signal that a technology has real substance, credibility, and global relevance.
Why Analyst Reports Matter for Czech Companies
Analyst reports are valuable resources for businesses of all sizes - from startups to global enterprises. Large corporations use them for strategic planning, investment decisions, and identifying new partners. Smaller and mid-sized companies, on the other hand, gain inspiration on how to stay competitive internationally and where to focus their innovation efforts.
In both cases, the reports help companies navigate technology trends, separate short-term hype from lasting change, and provide strong arguments when advocating for new projects or digital initiatives internally.
“More than 15,000 companies worldwide use Gartner reports today - including 77% of Fortune 500 firms,” says Albert Kristof, Account Executive at Gartner. “Each year, our analysts answer over 500,000 client inquiries from organizations seeking the best ways to adopt new technologies effectively.”
Our Journey into Gartner Reports
FLOWBOX began in the Czech Republic, refining our technology step by step and building our first projects locally. A turning point came with the arrival of Tomáš Rendla, which opened doors to international markets. We soon realized that companies in Western Europe were ahead in energy management and sustainability and technologies like ours were gaining momentum there.
Before expanding abroad, we wanted a clear benchmark - to see how we compared to established global players. Our goal wasn’t just to join them, but to move beyond and play the role of an innovator. That’s why we reached out to Gartner with our technology.
“It was a key step for us,” recalls Pavel Jiránek, CEO of FLOWBOX. “We wanted to understand how our solution stands against global competition -and we felt it was the right time to show our technology to the analysts shaping worldwide market trends.”
Getting featured in a Gartner report, however, isn’t about a single presentation or a polished website. It’s a continuous process of verification - of the product’s functionality, company setup, customer experience, and the real value the solution delivers.
“That’s why we truly appreciate achieving this recognition just six months after our first contact,” adds Jiránek.
How the Collaboration with Gartner Works
The process begins with connecting to the right analysts - experts who understand your market segment and help position your solution correctly. But that’s only the beginning.
Next comes a deep-dive collaboration where analysts build a comprehensive view of the market and its vendors. They evaluate every aspect: the product and roadmap, business model, client references, customer experience, and even topics like cybersecurity. Verification doesn’t rely solely on vendor interviews - analysts independently reach out to customers, compare solutions with others in the category, and listen to investors and executives who describe real market needs.
Only vendors that demonstrate verified quality, innovation, and the ability to address current and future market challenges are included in the reports. Each report goes beyond simple evaluations - it aggregates insights from vendors, solution users, and investors. This helps companies gain a realistic view of the market landscape and understand both short-term dynamics and long-term trends.
And it doesn’t end there. Collaboration continues over time, as analysts track new features, customer successes, and progress on the product roadmap.
Recognition as a Commitment to Keep Innovating
FLOWBOX has repeatedly proven its value in these evaluations — not only maintaining its place but also expanding its presence in new Gartner reports. This year, we were included in a new report on Data Centers, as well as once again featured in the Market Guide for EMOS (Energy Management and Optimization Systems).
“For us, this is a clear sign that our solution stands strong in global comparison and plays a meaningful role in the future of energy management,” concludes Pavel Jiránek. “At the same time, it’s a huge motivation to keep pushing forward — adding new features, deepening customer collaboration, and proving that Czech technology can have a truly global impact.”
