FLOWBOX at the Photovoltaics and Energy Storage in Practice 2026 Conference

15 September 2026 | Prague, Hotel Artemis & online

How will the new tariff structure affect industrial electricity costs from 1 January 2027? And how can on-site solar generation and battery storage help companies optimize their energy consumption and reduce the impact?

At the Photovoltaics and Energy Storage in Practice 2026 conference, FLOWBOX Sales Director Jan Denemark will be joined by a representative of one of our customers to present the upcoming tariff change from the perspective of a real industrial operation.

Using Battery Storage and Solar PV to Optimize Energy Consumption under the New Tariff Structure

The new tariff structure introduced by the Czech Energy Regulatory Office (ERÚ) may significantly change how industrial sites connected at high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) levels pay for electricity distribution from 1 January 2027.

It will no longer be enough to focus only on total energy consumption. Companies will increasingly need to understand when energy is consumed, how demand peaks occur and how these peaks can be actively managed.

In his presentation, Jan Denemark will explain what the new tariff structure may mean for industrial energy costs and operations — and how companies can prepare for the change.

The presentation will focus on:

  • how the new tariff structure may affect the electricity costs of HV and EHV industrial sites,
  • how to identify critical demand peaks and opportunities for optimization,
  • how on-site solar PV and battery energy storage can support consumption optimization,
  • why generation, storage and consumption need to be managed as one integrated energy system,
  • how companies can prepare before the new tariff structure takes effect on 1 January 2027.

The session will also include a real-life customer case study. Together with a FLOWBOX customer representative, we will present practical experience from an industrial site, its operational implications and recommendations for companies preparing for 2027.

What will you take away from the session?

A practical understanding of one of the most significant upcoming changes to electricity distribution charges in the Czech Republic — and concrete insights into how energy data, solar PV, battery storage and active consumption management can help reduce its impact on your operations.

Meet FLOWBOX at the conference

Are you assessing how the new tariff structure could affect your site? Do you already operate solar PV or battery storage and want to use it more effectively? Or are you considering how to prepare your energy system for 2027?

Book a meeting with Jan Denemark during the conference.

We can discuss your specific operation, current energy setup and opportunities for optimization.
